Phillip Frost, M.D. Director Phillip Frost has served as one of Continucare's directors since January 2004. Dr. Frost formerly served on Continucare's Board of Directors as Vice Chairman from September 1996 until April 2002. Dr. Frost has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of IVAX Corporation from 1987 to 2006. He served as President of IVAX Corporation from July 1991 until January 1995. He was the Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami, Miami Beach, Florida from 1972 to 1990. Dr. Frost was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Key Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1972 to 1986. He is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEVA Pharmaceutical Industries LTD and Chairman of the Board of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services, Inc. (security brokerage). He is also a director of Northrop Grumman Corporation (aerospace), Castle Brands (import/export) and Cellular Technical Services (business software services). He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Miami and a member of the Board of Governors, as well as, Co-Vice Chairman of the American Stock Exchange. |
